Gold pushes further past $2,000 as Fed’s Kashkari flags recession.

Gold prices rose past key levels on Wednesday, boosted by safe haven buying after Minneapolis Federal Reserve President Neel Kashkari flagged a potential recession this year, with focus also turning to more U.S. economic cues due later in the day.

मिनियापोलिस फेडरल रिजर्व के अध्यक्ष नील काशकारी द्वारा इस साल संभावित मंदी को हरी झंडी दिखाने के बाद बुधवार को सोने की कीमतों में पिछले प्रमुख स्तरों पर तेजी आई, साथ ही दिन में बाद में अधिक अमेरिकी आर्थिक संकेतों पर भी ध्यान दिया गया।

Kashkari said that rising interest rates and a slowdown in lending after the collapse of several U.S. banks could trigger a potential recession this year. But he also opined that allowing inflation to stay high would likely be worse.

काशकारी ने कहा कि कई अमेरिकी बैंकों के पतन के बाद बढ़ती ब्याज दरें और ऋण देने में मंदी इस साल संभावित मंदी को ट्रिगर कर सकती है। लेकिन उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि मुद्रास्फीति को उच्च रहने की अनुमति देना संभवतः बदतर होगा।
